The new Capstone Courses are modeled after the Academy, encompass the most crucial information from all nine Academy modules -- and are only 6 weeks each in length.

These Capstone Courses will make it possible for any health-system pharmacist (or team of pharmacists) to:

• Strengthen your leadership skills without requiring the time or financial commitments to the full Academy program.
• Learn from members of the Academy’s renowned faculty, each with exceptional content expertise.
• Dive deep into issues of critical importance to health care leaders in today’s challenging environment.
• Enhance your knowledge in two core leadership topics.
• Earn up to 30 ACPE credit hours.


A SPECIAL NOTE TO 2008 - 2010 ACADEMY GRADUATES: The opportunity to take the Capstone Courses is limited and is not guaranteed in the future. These courses are a requirement for you if you want to obtain graduate credits for your completed Academy coursework. Registration Fees per Course (You may register for one or both courses)
• ASHP Members: $1,250
• ASHP Non-Members: $1,500

There are two ways to receive a reduced rate:
1. Purchase your books electronically. All of the books required for the Capstone Courses are available as ebooks. If you want to purchase the books as ebooks, we will reduce your registration fee. (The fee reduction for Leadership by Design is $150; the reduction for Developing Leader Skills is $40.)
2. Register three or more participants from the same health-system. For a group of three or more, the fee will be $1,100 per person per course. (Pharmacy Directors: We offer this reduced rate for groups to strongly encourage you to register your staff. Pharmacists who complete the Capstone Courses provide immediate benefit to their pharmacy departments!)

• 2011 Class Roster

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  Each Capstone course  1 and 2 provides 15 hours (1.5 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit.  Participants are required to complete all components of each module to earn CE credit; partial credit is not offered.
